About each option
Concrete · 50 mm Ref. VP-1
Vacuum point for concrete pools, moulded in UV- and chemical-resistant plastic, with a 50 mm pipe glued inside; used with a 1.5" vacuum hose. A vacuum point is a dedicated wall suction fitting for the manual vacuum hose, so the pool can be vacuumed with the full pump suction instead of through the skimmer, and the skimmer basket is spared the heavy dirt. Cast it into the wall about 300 mm below the water line, midway along the long side so the hose reaches every corner, and pipe it back to the pump suction manifold with its own isolation valve.
Concrete · 2" Ref. VP-2
Vacuum point for concrete pools, moulded in UV- and chemical-resistant plastic, glued inside a 2" pipe; the cover removes to connect a 1.5" vacuum hose.
Concrete · 63 mm Ref. VP-3
Vacuum point for concrete pools, moulded in UV- and chemical-resistant plastic, glued inside a 63 mm pipe; used with a 1.5" vacuum hose.
Liner · 1.5" threaded Ref. VP-1-L-THR
Vacuum point for liner (vinyl) pools, ABS, with a 1.5" threaded cover and lock nut, for a 50 mm pipe. The flanged body and gasket clamp the liner between two faces so the membrane stays watertight around the fitting. A vacuum point is a dedicated wall suction fitting for the manual vacuum hose, so the pool can be vacuumed with the full pump suction instead of through the skimmer, and the skimmer basket is spared the heavy dirt. Fix it to the panel or block wall about 300 mm below the water line, midway along the long side, with its own isolation valve on the suction manifold.
Liner · 50 mm weld Ref. VP-1-L-WLD
ABS vacuum point for liner (vinyl) pools with lock nut, welded to a 50 mm PVC pipe. A vacuum point is a dedicated wall suction fitting for the manual vacuum hose, so cleaning does not depend on the skimmer and the skimmer basket is not bypassed. The flanged body clamps the liner with a gasket for a watertight seal; the port is closed with its cover when not in use. Install below the water line on the side nearest the pump room, per the installation guide.

Pool Fittings — frequently asked questions
Concrete or liner fittings?
Concrete versions are solvent-cemented into the pipe and cast into the shell — wall inlets on 50 mm pipe, floor inlets and vacuum points on 63 mm. Liner versions (the -L models) add a flange and lock nut that clamp the membrane from both sides. Order the right variant before the shell is poured: a fitting cannot be swapped after casting.
How many wall inlets does a pool need?
Enough to return the full filtered flow at a gentle velocity and to sweep the whole pool — as a rule one inlet per return branch, placed to push water across the pool towards the skimmers, with floor inlets added on deep or long pools so circulation reaches the bottom. Our engineers set the count from your pool drawing.
What is a vacuum point?
A dedicated suction connection in the pool wall for the manual vacuum hose, so the pool can be vacuumed without going through the skimmer basket. It connects to the suction pipework with its own valve in the plant room; close it when not in use.
What material are the fittings?
ABS treated against pool chemicals and UV, supplied with gaskets and stainless steel screws. The material does not corrode, chalk or crack in chlorinated water and sun, which is why it can be buried in the shell for the life of the pool.
